Total unit sales of agricultural tractors in the United States rose 1.5% from a year earlier in June, according to data compiled by the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM).
The greatest gains were seen in two-wheel-drive tractors of at least 100 horsepower, which were up 25% from a year earlier to 2,477. Four-wheel drive tractors gained 22% to 312 units.
The under 40 horsepower segment increased slightly by 0.2% to 18,106 units.
Self-propelled combine harvesters increased by 9.8% to 673 units.
For the first half of 2023, unit sales of agricultural tractors are down 9.7% compared to the previous year to stand at 129,964.
There are pockets of strength with a 46% gain to 1,872 units in the 4×4 segment. Combine harvester sales rose 52 percent from a year earlier to 3,237 units in the first half, according to AEM.
