After recent teasing over the past two days, Disney has released a new trailer for Star Wars: Ahsoka who sees Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) reunites with familiar faces. With star wars rebels characters Sabine (Natasha Liu Bordizzo) and Hera (Mary Elizabeth Winstead)the ex-Jedi crosses paths with Grand Admiral Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen) as she and Sabine try to find Ezra Bridger (Eman Esfadi).
Fixed at the same time as The Mandalorian third season, the new Ahsoka the trailer reveals the reunion of her and Sabine previously considered an epilogue for rebels is actually their second attempt to find Ezra. THE previously separated pair after their last attempt finding it didn’t go well, but with rumblings of thrown surface after being previously lost in space, Ahsoka thinks now is the best time to try again. As they are hunted by Inquisitors and a pair of Dark Force users (played by Ray Stevenson and Ivanna Sakhno), Sabine and Ahsoka must also work out their issues with each other and themselves.
Compared to previous trailers, this one gives a better idea of what to expect from the series and its characters. Dave Filoni (who created rebels and co-created mandalorian) East serve as showrunner for it, which helps provide a guideline for Ahsoka since his original debut in 2008 with Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Its involvement in this area also gives it the ability to put Ahsoka and her friends in the right places for the big crossover theatrical movie involving the Mandalorian, Luke Skywalker, and whoever else is still around in the New Republic era.
Star Wars: Ahsoka arrives on Disney+ on August 23 with its first two episodes.
