It’s been five years since Whoopi Goldberg and judge Jeanine Pirro had an epic argument on live TV on ABC’s ‘The View’ talk show, but it’s clear there’s still no love lost between them.

Goldberg throws shade at Pirro
Weekly entertainment reported that Goldberg shot Pirro on “The View” Thursday during a segment about Geraldo Rivera leaving Fox News show “The Five” because of “growing tension.”
“Jeanine Pirro is on the show,” said co-host Sunny Hostin.
“I don’t care,” Goldberg replied bluntly, causing the left-leaning audience to burst into laughter.

The fight of Pirro and Goldberg
During a 2018 episode of “The View,” Pirro and Goldberg got into a howling match on air when the former accused the latter of having extreme bias when it came to the president of the era, Donald Trump.
“You have Trump Derangement Syndrome,” Pirro told Goldberg during the fight.
“Let me tell you what I have,” Goldberg replied. “I’m sick of people starting a conversation with ‘Mexicans are liars and rapists.’ I’m 62. There were a lot of people in power that I disagreed with. But I’ve never, ever seen anything like it. I’ve never seen anyone stir up a such hatred. I have never seen anyone so dismissive.
“Obviously you don’t watch the show so you don’t know I don’t suffer from this,” she added. “What I suffer from is the inability to understand how to solve this problem.”

The fight only escalated from there before Goldberg abruptly ended the segment.
“What’s horrible is when the President of the United States whips people to beat them up. Say goodbye! Bye! I’m done!” Goldberg yelled before ending the segment.

The fight escalates off-camera
Both Pirro and Goldberg later revealed that the fight then went behind the scenes.
“Whoopi got angry, and what the public didn’t see was that they opened the cover of my book and (after cutting the ad) she pushed off the desk, unplugged her microphone and stormed the set,” Pirro said, according to USA today. “I’m here saying… ‘I don’t think the segment is over’… So I take my own mic off and… I walk down the stairs and she’s right there.”
“I said something like, ‘Whoopi, you know I’ve spent my whole life fighting for victims,’ because we had talked about rape and stuff,” she continued. “And she said to me – she got up in my face…she said ‘(expletive) you, (expletive) you. “”
Pirro later denied provoking Goldberg.
“You can ask people who I was with. She was mad to get off set, and then…as I started to walk out of the building, this woman screams behind me, “get the (expletive) out of this building,” she said. “I have been a judge and prosecutor for 30 years, I can face anyone. But it was abuse. It was a sad moment. It was triggered and I never understood the trigger.

Goldberg fires back
Goldberg fired back on the next episode of “The View.”
“There’s a lot of pirouettes she does, and there’s nothing I can do about it, but I can tell you what happened,” she said. “She was upset when she got here because Ana Navarro was there instead of Joy (Behar). And after the segment, which ended when it was supposed to – it wasn’t early, it wasn’t. wasn’t late. She then called everyone at the table a name I can’t repeat on TV and said it in front of the audience.
“When I came off stage, I went over there because I was a little hot. She came out, she could have double crossed me. She didn’t need to stop, but she stopped,” a she added. “She put a finger to my face and yelled, ‘I’ve done more for the victims than you ever will.’ Then I said a few choice words that I can’t repeat Yes, I said it But I didn’t spit on her, I didn’t intimidate her, nobody chased her out of here. telling her ‘get out.’ But she left here cursing the people who booked the show, cursing the guys who keep the show secure.
.@WhoopiGoldberg clarifies what happened after our interview with Jeanine Pirro: “I rarely got agitated – but I was agitated… and apologized for being hot.”

Goldberg’s update on Pirro
The following year, Goldberg gave an update on Pirro and whether she would ever return to “The View.”
“I haven’t spoken to Jeanine. There’s no reason to,” Goldberg said in 2019. “If there’s anything smart she needs to bring to the show, I’m sure they’ll book her. I’m not booking the show, I’m working on it. I receive a very attractive salary.

There is clearly no love lost between Goldberg and Pirro. In the years since their fight, Goldberg has only shown that she does indeed have Trump Derangement Syndrome, so Pirro is better off without her.
