U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland on Friday denied IRS whistleblower claims detailing Justice Department efforts to block criminal recommendations against Hunter Biden.
The House Ways and Means Committee released a devastating report on Thursday depositions detailing accounts of Biden corruption by two IRS whistleblowers.
The two IRS whistleblowers briefed lawmakers on Justice Department efforts to block search warrants and cover up Hunter Biden’s tax crimes.
Whistleblowers have also confirmed that Joe Biden was directly involved in Hunter’s overseas business deals.
One of the whistleblowers, Gary Shapely, confirmed to prosecutors that Joe Biden met with officials from CEFC, a Chinese energy company.
Shapely also revealed that Hunter Biden demanded payment from his Chinese associate via WhasApp messaging and used his powerful father as muscle as he issued threats.
The WhatsApp message Hunter Biden sent to Henry Zhao is as follows according to the IRS whistleblower:
“I’m sitting here with my father and we would like to understand why the commitment made has not been kept. Tell the director I’d like to fix this now before it gets out of hand, and now that means tonight. And, Z, if I get a call or text from anyone other than you, Zhang, or the president, I’ll make sure that between the man sitting next to me and everyone he knows and my ability to forever hold a grudge that you will regret not following my instructions. I’m sitting here waiting for the roll call with my dad.
The whistleblower’s allegations directly contradict Merrick Garland’s affidavits on the independence of the Justice Department.
Merrick Garland has repeatedly claimed that the DOJ failed to stop U.S. Attorney David Weiss from aggressively prosecuting Hunter Biden.
A reporter asked Merrick Garland about the whistleblower allegations.
Merrick Garland AGAIN denied the allegations and said David Weiss was never barred from bringing charges against Hunter Biden.
