After being hidden for most of its life, Cootie wants to be where the people are, even if the world, as her parents warndoes not tend to greet Black men – not to mention the one who stands tall 13 feet tall—wwith open arms. Insisting that they’re wrong, Cootie is inspired by his idol the hero (THE Righteous gems’ Walton Goggins), who plays in a comic-book series inspired by his real-life crime fighting and builds on heroic morality, he is sure Protect it.
With the help of new friends, Cootie ventures learn first-hand on his community and on the world in general. i am a virgin follows his journey with his neighborhood friends: the chef who befriends him first, Felix (On my blockis Brett Gray); animation nerd Scat (Allius Barnes); and activist Jones (Kara Young). Cootie even falls in love with a speedster-propelled daughter, Flora (Olivia Washington), into a cute encounter that’s bonkers and beautiful. The band of misfits just work together; I honestly acknowledged my own experiences in their slices of life adventures, even with their wacky fantasy side, and the difficult parts of growing up in marginalized communities.

i am a virgin performs a full range of feelings, you’ll laugh so hard you’ll feel like you’re dying and it will break your heart into confetti. The whole thing is endearing and stimulating, and the show explores very current themes regarding the state of each industry having to pay workers living on wages. While I hope there’s room for season two, it feels like this seven-The Odyssey episode is a true media miracle. If only I could eternal sun see it out of my mind in order to see it all again.
