In a File of 483 pages, Trump’s attorneys say the Constitution’s Fifth and 14th Amendments are somehow violated. They are asking that “any evidence or testimony obtained by the grand jury for special purposes” be quashed. They are also asking that the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office recuse themselves from any further legal action against Trump. The timing of the legal filing coincides with news of how seriously Georgia prosecutors are poised to bring some form of justice to Trump’s abuses of power.
The 483-page summary (which includes a political cartoon as part of his evidence) is that all testimony, all evidence, all facts discovered during the grand jury proceedings were “conducted under an unconstitutional statute, through an unlawful and unconstitutional process, and by a disqualified district attorney’s office that violated prosecutorial standards and acted in disregard of the “gravity of the circumstances and the constitutional rights of those involved.”
But just in case you think it was just the district attorney’s office at fault, it was the judge too! According to the filing, “the supervising judge and the FCDA office failed to protect the most basic procedural and substantive constitutional rights of all individuals discussed by this investigative body.”
They also argue that the judge’s application of the laws is flawed and “has had a negative ripple effect on the Constitution the integrity of the whole process”, in part because it compelled outside witnesses to testify. It must be about Lindsey Graham and others.
Of course, charges of racketeering and conspiracy are usually something that arises when outside testimony is allowed to bolster evidence that Trump and his cabal of big election liars might be conspiring to pressure Georgia into throwing out the Constitution and installing him as some kind of unpopular monarch . It will come as no surprise that New York District Attorneys appear to be set to indict Trump as well, although in this case Trump paid money to cover up a possible extramarital affair.
As the indictments begin to draw closer and Trump ramps up his campaign for both president and an end to judicial integrity, the Republican Party leadership has begun conspiring to threaten retaliation against anyone who accuses Donald. Trump himself is using his rally campaign to subject his MAGA audience to savage conspiracy theories about witch hunts, emphasizing “radical left communists, bureaucrats, fake news media, big money special interests, corrupt Democratic prosecutors.”
