“The Blueprint to Save America proposed raising the eligibility age first to 70, then higher if and when life expectancy increases; it proposed to cut (or in their own words “modernize”) the benefit formula for everyone currently age 54 and under; means-tested social security benefits; including work requirements for some Social Security recipients; and allowing people to divert payroll taxes to private investment accounts – i.e. “freedom of retirement”.
